Our Mission

Foundations Community Childcare will foster a nurturing environment of respect and trust as children learn and grow through developmentally age-appropriate activities and programs that support emotional, social, and physical health.

Foundations Community Childcare

Located on donated land in Ashland Business Park, Foundations Community Childcare opened to serve children in June of 2024.

Our innovative funding model includes both income-based and employer-supported tuition assistance as well as grant funding and endowment. This will allow the center to operate sustainably while remaining affordable for families.

Close proximity to 27 businesses with a combined 1,200 full time employees
Initial capacity to serve up to 150 children, infants through school age
Building designed at 12,400 square feet with room for expansion
Families’ needs will determine services, including non-traditional work hours

Killian Murray

Hello! My name is Killian Murray, and I am the Executive Director of Foundations Community Childcare. I am excited to lead an incredible team here, and care deeply about bringing affordable and effective childcare to Ashland. Helping the community is my life goal. I want to support the families of Ashland by providing a safe and caring place for our children.

Food Service Coordinator

Makayla Keene

Hi! My name is Makayla Keene. I have 8 years of experience in the food service industry along with training at the Ashland County Career Center. Cooking has always been a passion of mine. I believe healthy and nutritious meals are an important part of childcare and am looking forward to serving Foundations Community Childcare and the children we care for.
